The location makes this Quinta so special – it is in the middle of a town, in Regua. The Quinta is around 100 years old – and during this time the town has grown towards and then around this Quinta – and now it is very easy to reach it for tourists. This was also one of the first Quintas in the Douro Valley with a visitor center. Until 1994 it belonged to RAMOS PINTO – but then Castelinho-Vinhos S.A. bought the Quinta and uses it now as visitor-center and storage place for its wines.

Ramos Pinto even sold Port Wine under the name of the Quinta – but that stopped of course when the Quinta was sold.

Port Wine is stored at this Quinta in wooden barrels, in steel and concrete tanks. The Quinta is still surrounded by beautiful flower gardens – it feels like an oasis in the middle of the otherwise busy, loud city. Wine tastings are offered and a restaurant with local cuisine e is attached to the Quinta.
