Vieira de Sousa has launched two new wines:

Alice Vieira de Sousa Branco 2015 and Alice Vieira de Sousa Tinto Reserva 2013.

These wines are an hommage to Alice Vieira de Sousa, who was the ancestor of the current Vieira de Sousa-family. She was the owner of the Quinta do Fojo and Quinta do Roncão Pequeno. One of four sisters, she was never married and dedicated her whole life to the Douro – but she was also a teacher. Her importance to the family is now honored through giving her name to these wines. The label are old calligraphy-instructions – representing the teacher in her.
